There are several ways to migrate to the USA. When planning to migrate to the USA, here are some of the ways you can enter US and apply for a green card.

Enter as a tourist.

You can enter the USA as a tourist, first. It is much easier to apply for a tourist visa than for an immigrant visa. If you want to enter the US as soon as possible, you have to enter the USA as a tourist. As a tourist, you will receive your B-2 Tourist Visa. If, while there, you decide to find an employer who can sponsor you, you can actually apply for a change in visa status. You can have your B2 visa transferred into an H-1B working visa. As an H-1B visa holder, you can now apply for a green card.

Enter as student.

One way of migrating to the USA is as a student. You can study in an American university, whether through a scholarship or through the use of your own funds. After graduating or during your last year in school, you can work as an intern. If you do well, you can request the company you are working for to help you apply for a working visa, also known as H-1B visa. You can work in the USA with that working visa first. After getting your working visa, you can then apply for a green card.

Get sponsored as an employee

You may also be sponsored as an employee. You just have to display some exceptional skills or qualities that will be valuable to your employer. You may also have an advanced degree that can be put to good use in the United States. Once you have established that you are a very important worker, you can get yourself sponsored by your employer for an H1 visa.

Work for an American company in the Philippines

One other way you can enter the USA as a migrant is if you work for an American company based in the Philippines. If the Philippines-based US company offers such a program, you can apply for an intracompany transfer and be transferred to a US-based branch.
